Common questions

What's the difference between Level 1 and Level 2?

Level 1 uses a regular 120-volt outlet and adds only a few miles of range per hour. Level 2 runs on 240 volts, like a dryer, and can fully charge most EVs overnight.

Will I need a panel upgrade?

Not always. Many homes have room for an EV circuit. If yours is close to its limit, a load management device can often avoid a full upgrade. We check during the free site visit.

Hardwired charger or a plug-in outlet?

Hardwired chargers are tidier, better outdoors and can often charge a little faster. An outlet is flexible if you might change chargers. We'll recommend what fits your car and your space.

How long does the install take?

Most garage installs near the panel take part of a day. Longer runs, outdoor mounts or panel work can take longer, and we'll tell you up front.

Are there rebates?

Utility rebates and incentives for home charging change often. Ask during your quote and we'll point you to what's currently available.
